Why we exist

Born inside a real industrial business

pacemaker.ai grew inside thyssenkrupp, where tens of thousands of SKUs, multi-year
lead times and zero tolerance for a stockout were a daily reality. We built the software to solve that for a real supply chain first.

This is the world we come from, and the world be build for.

What we build

The software we built to solve it

We turned what we learned running a real industrial supply chain into two solutions. One keeps the right stock in the right place. The other keeps emissions reporting audit-ready. Each solves a hard, expensive problem manufacturers and distributors face every day.

Our journey

From a thyssenkrupp project to North American expansion

Founding
Pacemaker project launches

thyssenkrupp launches the "pacemaker" project in Lisbon. The goal: an AI-driven pacemaker for industrial supply chains where forecasting was getting harder every year.

Independent company, plus first acquisition

pacemaker.ai solutions GmbH is founded as a dedicated subsidiary. The award-winning machine-learning company Westphalia DataLab is acquired to deepen demand-forecasting capabilities.

Product Development
Carbon intelligence and team growth

Westphalia DataLab is fully integrated, the team passes 40 specialists across Münster and Lisbon, and a machine-learning carbon intelligence module is added to the platform.

Internationalization

pacemaker.ai passes 60 employees across two European cities. The first partnerships in North America go live.

Expansion
Waves acquisition, SMP launches

Acquisition of Waves S.à r.l. brings the award-winning Sustainability Management Platform into the portfolio. pacemaker.ai now offers a fully integrated all-in-one solution for both supply chain and sustainability.

Growing the North American business

Continued expansion into the North American market with Replenishment Decision Intelligence as the lead product for US manufacturers and distributors.
